Newbury Racecourse apply to build maintainence bridge
Newbury Racecourse has submitted a planning application to build a maintenance bridge.
The bridge would enable vehicular maintenance to an irrigation pond the Racecourse recently purchased to the east of the course.
It would be a solid timber construction, based south of Lower Court Farm and north of Holiday Park.
An irrigation pond is a manmade pond designed to capture, distribute, and store water for an array of agricultural purposes.
No objections have been received from Environmental Health, SUDs or the district’s Principal Archaeologist.
But the local highway authority said while it has no objection to the proposal, it would defer to comments from the Public Rights of Way team on this planning application / proposal.
The plans are due to be decided by Monday, January 27.
