Rail lines reopen but delays remain
A damaged cable caused the fault near Pangbourne and Network Rail says that engineers have now fixed the problem.
First Great Western says that all lines between Didcot Parkway and Reading have now reopened.
It adds that train services running through these stations are returning to normal but some services may still be delayed at short notice.
Lines are now open through the Pangbourne area however residual delays are likely while services return to normal.
There are currently delays of around 35 minutes.
CrossCountry are accepting First Great Western tickets on their services between Oxford and Reading until further notice, while Chiltern will accept First Great Western ticket holders on their services between Oxford and Banbury until further notice.
