Great Western Railway warn of upcoming rail strikes
Rail strikes will continue to affect travellers and commuters this week, with no trains running on multiple Great Western Railway routes.
Tomorrow (Wednesday) and Saturday, July 30, will see an extremely limited rail service operating on certain routes between 7am and 6.30pm, while other routes will have no trains running at all.
There will be no service operating on the Berks & Hants line (Reading to Taunton via Castle Cary), along with multiple other routes across the West of England.
On Saturday, Great Western Railway expects to operate even fewer services with train drivers set to strike as well.
Services will start later and finish much earlier than usual, and there will be an extremely limited service on four routes; Bristol Temple Meads to London Paddington, Bristol Temple Meads to Cardiff Central, Reading to Oxford and Reading to Basingstoke.
There will be no other trains running on Saturday.
Great Western Railway has advised passengers to find alternative ways to travel and only travel on their train services if absolutely necessary.
The rail company has also warned that services either side of the strike days will also be affected up to and including Sunday, July 31.
Customers who have already purchased tickets can claim a full refund or amend their ticket on the Great Western Railway website.
