Rain warning for West Berks

The Met Office has placed London and the south east, which includes West Berkshire, on a yellow rain warning for Saturday afternoon through to Sunday morning as heavy rain and thunder storms move north from France.
An assessment from the chief forecaster says that although there is some uncertainty over the extent of the showers, there is an increasing chance of heavy rain and thunderstorms.
The public is warned to be aware of a risk of travel disruption due to surface water flooding and lightning strikes.
The assessment also says that the amount of rainfall will vary considerably but there is scope for 30mm of rain to fall within an hour and 50mm or more in less than three hours across the south east.
