Wash Common Co-op store targeted in late night ram-raid
The Co-op store in Wash Common has been ram-raided overnight.
Police are currently at the scene on Essex Street and the shop remains closed and taped off.
Two of three large glass windows at the front of the store have been smashed in, with the panels ripped from the frames.
And sadly this is not the first time the shop has been targeted.
It reopened as a new £1m Co-op in 2019 and was hit by two break-ins in three weeks at the end of that year.
The store next door is also boarded up today (Tuesday) after a break-in at the weekend.
Thieves smashed their way through the front of Baron Vapes around 3.30am on Saturday (January 14) morning.
It is understood that a large amount of vape liquid was stolen.
More details when we have them.
