Firefighters from Ramsbury tackle field blaze




DURING a new heatwave and with no rain in sight, firefighters from Ramsbury were called to help tackle a crop field blaze.

The incident happened yesterday evening, Monday, near West Overton in Wiltshire.

The ground has been tinder dry since the first heatwave last month where temperatures rose to nearly 40 degrees.

The ground has been tinder dry since the first heatwave last month where temperatures rose to nearly 40 degrees.

The crew at Ramsbury Fire Station, who provided these photographs, said on social media: "Fire call yesterday evening to a large fire in the open near West Overton.

"Multiple appliances from all over the county drafted in to tackle the fire."
