Challenge of 120 miles to raise funds for young Parkinson's sufferers

A READING firefighter is hoping for lots of support for a charity row along the entire length of the River Thames today (Friday Aug 19), in aid of a charity supporting young people affected by Parkinson’s.

Darren Taylor, better known as Billy, a Green Watch crew member at Whitley Wood Fire Station, is participating in the 120-mile row, from Lechlade to Putney. The event, in four stages, is in aid of the charity Spotlight YOPD, of which he is a founder member.
