Forget going down the woods today, the teddy bears aren’t having a picnic – they’re being sporty in Burghfield instead

All creatures great and small will be vying for medals at a special family fun day taking place in Burghfield next weekend.

The Rectory in Hollybush Lane is the venue for the Teddy Bear Olympics.

The event will feature a number of races and games suitable for youngsters to enjoy with their favourite cuddly toy.

There will be a raffle with prizes such as a family ticket for four to Bucklebury Farm Park or winning six Pilates sessions.

Money raised from the event will support the work of St Mary’s Church.

Places for the event, held on Saturday, July 27, cost £5, and £3 for children.

Included in the price is a hot dog or burger from the barbecue.
