Record crowds at Lambourn's Betfair Open Day

Record crowds flocked to Lambourn's Betfair Open Day today.
Organisers said the combination of great weather, top jockeys and legendary racehorses made the event the biggest ever.
Top Lambourn trainer Nicky Henderson said: “We've been very lucky lately and I think the winning horses helped bring the crowds in.
Betfair Open Day committee chairman Mark Smyly said: “What a fantastic day. Everything has gone smoothly and I believe we have had record crowds today.”
After touring top stables in the morning, including Mr Henderson's Seven Barrows where Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Long Run was a star turn, visitors enjoyed an afertnoon of craft stalls, farrier displays and show jumping.
Legendary Lambourn jockey AP McCoy took part but the event was won by Eddie Aherne riding Charlotte.
Best turned out stables was won by Michael Blanchard who won the Corney and Barrow wine merchants' cup.
