The Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) has confirmed the amount raised this week by the eco-friendly clothes banks, which raise funds for the charity, The Fire Fighters charity.
The charity aims to enhance the quality of life for serving and retired fire fighters, fire personnel and their families.
The fire service has made a plea for anyone having a clear out of clothes, shoes, linen and handbags, to take them along to be recycled at the clothes banks, situated at local fire stations including Newbury, in Hawthorn Road.
