Relief for Newbury as M4 Chieveley J13 to Hungerford J14 reopens

The M4 from Newbury to Hungerford reopened last night (Saturday) after Highways England completed the work they were doing ahead of schedule.
The closure of the motorway had caused traffic misery on Saturday for local drivers around Newbury with long queues forming all around the town and on the A4 to Hungerford, as well as many of the back roads.
The road was originally due to be shut all weekend until Monday morning.
It should be noted that the J7 is shut in both directions for smart motorway improvements.
