West Berkshire Council is warning of delays in Hampstead Norreys due to the repairs
A PROGRAMME to carry out brickwork repairs to the parapet of Hampstead Norreys Railway Bridge have been announced.
The works will entail the removal and replacement of 20m length of damaged brick parapet at the bridge, which carried the B4009 over the now disused Didcot to Southampton branch line that once stopped at Hermitage, Newbury and Hampstead Norris.
A 24 hour temporary three-way traffic light system will be in place to ensure the safety of the workforce and travelling public.
The works will begin next Sunday (January 29) and are expected to take approximately three weeks.
