Residents urged to support the party today (Sunday) to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Royal British Legion
A POPPY party will be held in Cold Ash today (Sunday) to celebrate 90 years of the Royal British Legion.
The event will take place in the community orchard in The Ridge from noon until 3pm, and there will be wood-carving displays and demonstrations, a children's red-themed fancy dress competition, activities, stalls, games and refreshments.
All residents are invited to take a picnic and join in the celebrations.
Entrance is free but any donations will be given to the legion.
The first attempt at the poppy party on Sunday, June 12, was postponed due to bad weather.
