Exciting entries for second Bucklebury Scarecrow Festival




Bucklebury recently enjoyed its second Scarecrow Festival.

The theme this year was the 2024 Paris Olympics, with a total of 26 sporting scarecrows taking part.

The winners were announced at The Cottage Inn, at Upper Bucklebury, as part of the Best of Bucklebury celebrations.

After a difficult deliberation, the judges chose the following scarecrows as winners:

And third place for French man, by Margaret Barnard.

Last year, residents of Bucklebury produced scarecrows to mark the Coronation of King Charles III.

The royally-themed competition saw a total of 33 scarecrows pop up around the village.
