POLICE have applied for a court order for a Hungerford home closure order on the grounds of unspecified "antisocial behaviour."

But the residents have opposed it.

On Tuesday, July 19, Thames Valley Police applied to Reading magistrates for the closure order, having served notice on residents of 7, North View under section 80 of the Antisocial Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.

The court heard the notice had been served the day before the hearing.

However, residents have contested the order.

Magistrates therefore adjourned the case until Tuesday, August 2 for the application to be heard and contested before a decision in favour of either party is made.
