Indulging in some sweet treats and reminiscing royal events from the Queen’s 70-year reign were just a couple of things that residents of a Thatcham retirement home enjoyed last week.

Friends, family and locals from across town joined the homeowners and team at William House on The Moors for a fun-filled afternoon on Thursday, June 2.

The day was filled with food, drink and live music as residents celebrating what McCarthy Stone Southern divisional marketing manager Verity McKay called a “truly monumental occasion”.

She said: “It was lovely to hear some of our homeowners share their memories of the Queen’s Coronation all those 70 years ago too.”

She added: “We were over the moon to see so many people in attendance, all having a wonderful time on what was a truly special day.”
