Ringing endorsement for pub of the year
The award adds to a growing list of accolades, including West Berkshire pub of the year in 2010 and 2006, and it even won the national title in 1990.
Pubs officer for West Berkshire Camra Glenn Parsons said: “As we reviewed the candidates, it became clear that The Bell once again had delivered consistent excellence across all of the key criteria – outstanding beer, great atmosphere, welcoming staff, and somewhere that anyone can feel at home.
"Its enduring appeal demonstrates that serving quality beers, unfussy food, conviviality and value for money is a timeless recipe for success.”
Landlord Hugh Macaulay, said: “To have our pub recognised in this way is wonderful.
"I would like to thank all of our customers for their continued support, but more importantly, just for being themselves and creating a warm, welcoming, and comfortable place to be.”
