Meanwhile, more than 3,000 homes in West Berkshire are still without power today following last night's strong winds.
A spokesman for SSE said that 3,497 homes in the Newbury area were without power as of 12.30pm, mostly in rural areas.
West Berkshire Council has also closed Newbury Library until further notice owing to lose tiles above the entrance to the building.
The council also says that Northcroft Leisure Centre is open as usual but people should take care accessing the site because of nearby flood water in Northcroft Lane.
Today's yellow warning for wind has now been lifted by the Met Office, however, strong winds are likely to last throughout the day.
The yellow warning for rain remains in place until 8pm this evening.
