Road closes after risk of another telegraph pole collapse

A telegraph pole in danger of collapse has closed a road in West Woodhay.

It is the second time this week that a West Berkshire road has shut for a potential pole collapse.

Pebble Hill is currently closed so Openreach can replace the pole.

Stoney Lane in Thatcham is due to reopen today after shutting for the same reason yesterday (Tuesday).

The closure is to the side of property known as Malthouse Farm.

The road is expected to reopen tomorrow (Thursday).

Residential access will be maintained throughout.
