King’s Road in Newbury reopens a day ahead of schedule

A MAJOR town thoroughfare has reopened.
Traffic was passing on King’s Road in Newbury this morning, Tuesday.
It had been shut since August 1, and had initially been due to reopen on Tuesday, December 5.
However last month it emerged that the closure order had been extended for another 15 days.
The road, closed from its junction with Boundary Road to its junction with Hectors Way so SGN can replace a gas main, has now opened a day ahead of the new scheduled date, Wednesday, December 20.
