Roads ban for Calcot drug-driver Kyle Horne




A MOTORIST had consumed cannabis before getting behind the wheel.

Kyle Horne appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 23.

The 25-year-old, of Royal Avenue, Calcot, admitted driving a BMW 520i on the A33 at Reading on January 12, when the amount of the Class B-controlled drug in his system exceeded the specified limit.

He further admitted possessing a quantity of cannabis on the same occasion.

Magistrates fined Horne £288.

In addition, he was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £115.

Next, he was banned from the roads for 36 months.

Finally, Horne was made subject to a 12-month conditional discharge for the cannabis possession.
