Roads ban for Thatcham drug-driver Andrew Miller




A MOTORIST took cocaine before getting behind the wheel.

Andrew Miller appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, May 20.

The 40-year-old, of Denman Drive, Thatcham, admitted driving a BMW on the A4 Bath Road at Padworth on December 19 last year when the amount of the Class A-controlled drug in his system exceeded the prescribed limit.

Miller was made subject to a 12-month community order with a requirement that he complete 80 hours of unpaid community work.

In addition, he was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £114.

Finally, Miller was banned from driving for 12 months.
