Roadworks cause long delays on A34

Overrunning roadworks responsible for rush hour gridlock

OVERRUNNING roadworks are causing eight mile queues on the northbound carriageway of the A34 this morning (Thurs).

One lane is closed between Chieveley and East Ilsley, which is causing traffic to queue from Chieveley right back to Burghclere.

There are delays of around 40 minutes as a result.
