Roadworks in Pangbourne as well as continued road closures on Hermitage Road to Cold Ash Hill

There are multiple road closures to be aware of in Pangbourne due to roadworks and continued closures on Hermitage Road to Cold Ash Hill for drainage work.

There are continued road closures along the remainder of Hermitage Road, south of Fishers Lane and Cold Ash Hill down into Thatcham.

This is due to cleansing and drainage investigation work along the stretch of roads.

The roadworks on Cold Ash Hill began on October 11 and will carry through till October 22, between 9.30am and 3.30pm.

The work, conducted by Volker Highways on behalf of West Berkshire Council, will be carried out under two-way traffic light control.

The closures in Pangbourne will be at Meadowside Road, Meadow Lane (part), and then Short Street followed by Horseshoe Road.

This road closure will start on October 25 and carry through till November 5 for essential carriageway resurfacing.

The works will take place from 7.30am to 5pm from Monday to Friday between the allocated dates.

The kerbing work at this location will be conducted by West Berkshire Council’s contractor Volker Highways Ltd.

Information boards will be erected on site for motorists.

There will also be temporary suspension of on street parking in place as the works progress.

Drivers can subscribe to the on street parking permit scheme, which will allow parking in any 'P1' zone within Pangbourne.
