Robber threatens motorist with knife and steals his car





The incident occurred at about 3pm on Thursday, March 29, when a 26-year-old male driving a silver Vauxhall Astra pulled into a lay-by on the Lambourn Road, near to Coombsbury Road.
While the car was stopped, a man opened the driver’s door, pulled out a knife and demanded the driver hand over the keys.
The victim got out of the car and was pushed out of the way by the offender who drove off in the direction of Boxford.
Police are hunting the offender, who is is described as white, about 6ft, in his early to mid thirties, with short stubble.
He had short hair which was the same length all over and was wearing a white T-shirt and black bottoms.
The car was later recovered on the outskirts of Eastbury following a search of the area, but police are seeking anyone who saw the vehicle, registration RK05 EHS, on that day.
