Pangbourne Rotary Club supports worthy local causes

Thanks to public generosity, Pangbourne Rotary Club has donated more than £25,000 since July to a variety of local, national and international causes, including disaster relief.

And it has continued this trend over the last month, supporting a number of local charities.

A £500 donation was given to each of the following three charities.

These included: Spotlight, a charity supporting children and youths; funding towards staff amenities at RBH Cardiac Care Unit, which at least six Rotarians and their family members have benefitted from; the Royal Berks Charity, an NHS charity providing additional support to staff and patients and the Reading Community Welfare Rights Unit, supporting Reading's most physically and mentally vulnerable citizens who are entitled but struggling to gain access to state aid.

The club's upcoming fundraising events include the Pangbourne Art Exhibition and Sale running from April 14 to 16 and the Dragon Boat racing at Pangbourne Fete on June 10.
