Rotary foreign exchange project
Each year the club operates a Group Study Exchange (GSE) programme to different areas of the world.
This year the opportunity is with New South Wales, Australia.
The programme involves sending out a group of four aspiring professionals with a Rotarian team leader.
In return there is an inbound team from the partnering country, aimed at fostering understanding and peace between nations.
The programme has become so popular that some employers actively encourage their staff to apply.
The Rotary Club of Newbury is now looking for local individuals to put forward in a selection process to build this year’s team from this district.
Successfuyl candidates can look forward to a four-week experience of a lifetime with a business similar to theirs to help develop their vocation.
Candidates will usually be aged between 25 and 35 years although those outside of this range may be considered.
Anyone interested should contact local Rotarian Will Job for an application form on 01635 841 420 or via email at williamjob@hotmail.com
Companies if may also put forward potential candidates.
Details of the District GSE programme can also be found online by visiting http://www.rotary-ribi.org/districts/homepage.php?DistrictNo=1090 and going to ‘Group Study Exchange.’
