Royal Wedding memorabilia getting cheesier by the day

A slice too far? Royal Wedding pizza is latest cash-in attempt

ANYONE getting sick to the stomach of tenuous Royal Wedding cash-ins is advised to look away now as this one may have topped the lot.

Papa John's pizza delivery chain, which has a store in Newbury, is the latest firm to stuff the marriage of Kate Middleton, the daughter of a Chapel Row family, and Prince William, into its wares with it's newest creation, the Royal Wedding pizza.

What the upper crust will make of the deep pan crust is likely to remain a secret, but with Miss Middleton's cheese dress and veil of mushrooms set off against Prince William's salami and peppers morning suit, it is likely to be a case of “I doughn't” from the happy couple.

However, Geoff Parsons, the franchise owner of Papa John's Newbury, is optimistic the couple may decide to enjoy a slice on their big day.

“There are odds of 50/1 that the Royal Wedding Breakfast will be pizza so, you never know, Kate and William might be requesting a special delivery on the big day!” he said.

“It seems like the whole country has got Royal Wedding fever, so we just had to do something special to celebrate this momentous occasion.”

While Papa John's may not be the last firm to try and snatch a pizza the action ahead of the momentous occasion on April 29, there surely can't be mushroom for more cheesy bandwagoning.
