Royal wedding party attack at Middleton haunt
Man alleged to have made racist comments before attacking two people during royal wedding party
A MAN allegedly made racist comments before attacking two guests at a royal wedding party in one of Kate Middleton's favourite local pubs.
Police are investigating the incident which occurred during a private party at the Old Boot Inn in Standford Dingley at around 9.20pm on Friday.
The man is alleged to have made racist remarks towards a woman, before attacking two of her friends outside the pub, leaving another woman with cuts to her face and damage to her eye socket which required medical attention. She was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading.
A male friend was unhurt.
The attacker is alleged to have gained entry to the pub without a ticket, and became violent when asked to leave.
Thames Valley Police are still investigating the incident.
The landlord of the pub, John Hayley, was invited to the wedding ceremony of Kate Middleton and Prince William at Westminster Abbey.
The Old Boot is a frequent haunt of the couple on their visits to the area.
