Guidance for West Berkshire Council services over the holidays
West Berkshire Council will be closing early, at 3pm on Friday, December 23 and Friday, December 30.
Customer service desks and office buildings will be closed from 1pm.
Rubbish and recycling collections in the week December 26-30, will all run one day later than scheduled.
Garden waste collections will not take place from December 26, 2022 until January 9, 2023.
Up to three extra open topped bags of garden waste will be collected on your first scheduled garden waste collection after January 9, 2023.
The council will be closed on weekends and bank holidays; Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, Tuesday, January 27, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day and Monday, January 2.
Subscribers to the garden waste collection service can get real Christmas trees collected. Residents are asked to put them out with the garden waste bin for collection between January 9 and February 3. Trees over 4ft must be cut in half.
If you do not subscribe to the garden waste collection service then Christmas trees can be taken to one of the council's household waste recycling centres by booking an appointment.
