Dog of the Week: The latest dogs looking for their forever homes from Newbury Dogs Trust
Welcome to this week’s Dog of the Week.
Dogs Trust Newbury has a number of dogs at its Hamstead Marshall base who need a new home.
And so every Sunday we will continue to shine a spotlight on one of them to try to help spread the word.
Nationwide, the charity currently has 672 dogs that are looking for a family to join.
You can find out more about adopting a dog by visiting the charity’s website.
Today we have this lovely, mature lady to introduce you to.
Ruby is an 11-year-old Cocker Spaniel who is looking for a loving home to spend her golden years in.
Despite her age, Ruby is still an active girl who enjoys her walks, especially if water is involved - she loves going for a swim!
She enjoys getting attention from people she knows and it really doesn’t take her long to make new friends.
Ruby is looking for a home where she will be the only pet, as she can be worried by dogs inside the home and dogs that are too OTT with her.
She could, however, have calm walking friends when out and about.
She would love a garden to call her own, where can can potter and sniff to her heart’s content.
Ruby would suit a home with adopters who are around for the majority of the time as she can get a little worried when left on her own.
As Ruby is an older girl, adopters will need to be mindful of ailments as she continues to age and costs associated with this.
