Egyptian and American currency among items taken in burglary from safe

EGYPTIAN and American currency are among items taken from a digital safe in a burglary in Tadley last Wednesday (Aug 10).

According to Hampshire Constabulary, some time between 9am and 5pm, burglars broke into a house in Hawkley Drive, Tadley.

They removed double glazing panes from the frames to gain access to the house.

Once inside they took a digital safe which contained two credit cards, a small amount of Egyptian and American currency and £200 worth of Euros.

Pc Jon Hayes said: “This burglary happened during the daytime in a residential area of Tadley so someone may have noticed something suspicious going on.

“If you know anything about this burglary please contact me.”
