Sainsbury's Newbury dangerous driving arrest

Police seek witnesses to car park incident

Police are seeking information about an incident in Sainsbury's car park in Newbury on Wednesday afternoon (8/4), after a man was arrested for dangerous driving.

Thames Valley Police (TVP) has appealed for witnesses after the incident at about 1.20pm, in the supermarket's car park, in Hectors Way.

Police stopped a vehicle but the driver, who has not been named for legal reasons, then drove off through the car park, according to police.

Police then stopped the vehicle again, before arresting a 54-year-old man for dangerous driving.

Police have appealed for anyone with information, or who may have witnessed this incident, to call the non emergency police telephone number 101.
