Sandleford Park fate decided tonight (Tuesday)

West Berkshire Council is proposing to build 1,000 homes on the greenfield site

A SPECIAL meeting to discuss the district council's proposed new core strategy, which includes plans to build 1,000 homes on Sandleford Park, will take place tonight (Tuesday).

The meeting had been scheduled to take place on January 31 but was postponed to allow extra time for preparation and assimilation of documents.

West Berkshire Council's proposed core strategy outlines where 10,500 homes could be built in the district by 2026, including 1,000 homes at Sandleford Park, south Newbury.

The meeting had been scheduled to start at 7pm tonight but will now start at 6.15pm to allow extra time for members of the public to speak and for councillors to discuss the document.
