A protest walk to "save Sandleford" is taking place today (Sunday)
CAMPAIGNERS railing against a plan to put 2,000 homes in Sandleford Park are holding a protest walk today (Sunday).
The group will meet at 11.30am in Warren Road, Wash Common, and intend on walking across the rolling fields to the Swan at Newtown and back.
Last month West Berkshire Council finalised its position on offering up Sandleford Park as a ‘strategic' site for up to 2,000 homes along with Newbury Racecourse, where up to 1,500 homes are set to be built.
