Santa and his in-law helper at Englefield House charity Christmas tea party

Organised by the MND Association’s Reading and West Berkshire branch volunteers, more than 50 people enjoyed tea and treats in the surroundings of the Long Gallery at Englefield House, near Theale, thanks to owner Newbury MP Richard Benyon and his wife Zoe.
“Alec Jenkins, of Newbury, who is living with motor neurone disease, dressed up for the starring role and was ably assisted by his sister-in-law Lin Jenkins, of Tilehurst, who helps to raise funds for the charity,” said Jane Gilbert, a spokeswoman for the charity.
Santa and his helper handed out gifts together, of plants and other presents, to people living with MND and their carers.
