Santa Claus is coming to the village green … Burghfield hosting summer fun thanks to his little helpers
Santa is making a summer visit to Burghfield, complete with his sack.
Over the next few weeks, together with his helpers, little and big, he will be presenting a series of fundraising nights fusing food and drink.
The pop-up pub event takes place on the village’s recreation ground on Friday evenings until August 23.
There is a real ale and craft beer bar, staffed by the team from Stardust Brewery, based in White Waltham.
The line-up includes the specially brewed Santa’s Best, created in a collaboration with Reading Amateur Brewers and Elusive Brewing.
Chilled lager and cider will be available, along with Santa’s Frozen Cocktails, a selection of wines, ‘posh’ gin and tonics, and soft drinks.
The Chippy Wagon, which has a menu including fish, chips, sausages, halloumi and chicken, will be frying, while snacks will be available.
Visitors can take their own chairs and picnic rugs.

The event runs from 5pm to 9pm, and raises funds for Thames Valley Air Ambulance.
