Saturday Bands Night Introduces . . .

NEW:MUSIC is a local music organisation hosting shows by local unsigned music acts in and around Newbury.

Their next show, at the Corn Exchange on Saturday, will feature three outstanding musical talents each with their own unique style and sound.

Fake The Attack are a four-piece alternative pop/rock band based in Hampshire. The band formed in November of 2009 and released their debut six track EP themselves at the end of 2011, which was recorded at Outhouse Studios in Reading. They recently finished work on their debut album which is due out soon.

Talk in Code: After releasing their debut single ‘Face to Face’, they grabbed immediate attention of BBC introducing. Support slots with Catfish & The Bottlemen and with the music ready, the guys now needed a decent platform from which to launch the album. TIC signed an international licensing deal with DO IT! Records. Prior to the album’s release, 2 singles were launched onto the music-listening public: ‘Make it Happen’ and ‘Limitless’. ‘Make it Happen’ attracted some big attention, notably from Q MUSIC, being featured as track of the day. The more pop-oriented track ‘Limitless’ has been played on over 100 stations worldwide. Marked by a successful launch gig the album was released on 15th May 2014.

Meet The Parades: The three piece from Reading who combine funk, indie pop and soul. Dan Bartlett (vocals), Andy Burge (bass) and Callum Walton (drums) find inspiration from such artists as Jamiroquai, Bill Withers and Earth Wind and Fire. The band, having only been together in their current form for around a year, have played over a hundred shows in cities across the UK, including the Isle Of Wight Festival, BBC Introducing at Reading Festival and many O2 Academies.

Their debut EP ‘In The Moment’ was released in early July 2014 and the boys are set to put out their second EP alongside a headline tour.
