Scary scarecrow trail this weekend

The Mortimer Village Partnership has organised a trail of scarecrows made by families, groups and businesses in the village.
The scarecrows will be on display from 9am today (Saturday) until November 4.
Trail maps are on sale in village shops for £1, while trail followers can enter a prize draw for the chance to win £50.
There are also prizes for the funniest and favourite scarecrow, with a presentation made at Mortimer Community Centre at 5.30pm on November 4.
The event is sponsored by local businesses; Spratley's of Mortimer, The Horse and Groom and Parkers Estate Agents.
