Ecchinswell and Sydmonton Primary School makes festive donation to West Berks Foodbank after Santa run
A rural primary school ended its term with a charity Santa run around the school grounds.
All pupils from Ecchinswell and Sydmonton Primary School donned their Father Christmas hats and took part in the festive event on Friday, December 15, with every child donating items for West Berks Foodbank in order to take part.
The school’s Christian value for December was responsibility, and staff felt that this shone through loud and clear on the day.
All the children ran round the Ecchinswell and Sydmonton school grounds several times, encouraging their fellow pupils and even staff members to take part as well.
Assistant head teacher Emma Hartley said: “It was truly lovely to see the children from every class mixing and running together and all for a superb cause.
“It was an amazing way to end a very successful term.
“We love to do things together and help our local community as well as have fun. We are looking forward to more such events in 2024.”
