Chaddleworth School celebrates 200th anniversary




A village school has marked a milestone anniversary.

Staff, parents and pupils at Chaddleworth St Andrew's Primary School recently gathered to celebrate 200 years since the school was founded.

The Victorian school was founded in the village in the late 19th century and, despite being altered and extended, is still in educational use today.

A historical photo on display showed many familiar faces in the village from times past, including Hamel Smith, Vic Tarrant, Joe and Millie Mills, Cirose Jennings and Phillis Becket.
