The Castle School hosts morning extravaganza at Victoria Park bandstand in Newbury
A Newbury school held its annual concert at Victoria Park this month.
The Castle School, Post 16 and Castle @Theale played a wide variety of musical and dramatic performances to the public at the bandstand in Victoria Park on July 11, from 10am to 11am.
Bands performed numbers from The Beatles and AC/DC, along with choruses of Queen and traditional songs.
The event also featured masked comedic performances and monologues and duologues.
“The atmosphere was as sunny as the weather on this brilliant morning of performances,” said headteacher Jon Hewitt. “Thank you to everyone who came along to watch and support.
“It was amazing to see our students performing with such confidence on stage.
“A wonderful celebration of our school community.
“I am very thankful to our incredible staff and to all the parents and supporters who came along.”
The Love Lane school caters for pupils with variety of complex learning difficulties from the ages of 4 to 19.
