After competing in more than 80 competitions this year, the school is extremely proud of its pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport.

Some of the school’s sporting achievements include third in county X-county, third in Quad Kids Athletics and Plate Winners in Newbury Netball District, as well representing Berkshire in multiple sporting events in county finals.

A special thank you must go to sports coach Mr Adnams, PE coordinator Miss Salmon and the rest of the PE team, including Mrs Adnams, Mrs Lauder-Clarke, Mrs Fox, Mrs Bovington, Mrs Parker and Miss Allaway.

The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their schools and into the community.

As part of the application, Francis Baily was asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs.

It is pleased the hard work of everyone at the school has been rewarded.
