Kennet School and Whitelands Park Primary team up for ‘inspiring’ art workshop
Two schools have celebrated collaborating in a cross-phase art workshop.
Pupils and staff from Kennet School and Whitelands Park Primary School, both part of the Equinox Learning Trust, recently came together for an inspiring cross-phase art workshop.
A group of Year 5 pupils created some stunning 3D paper sculptures, inspired by artist Charles McGee, with the help of Kennet art teacher Naomi Martin.
Working in pairs, the pupils explored how bold black and white patterns can be formed through the use of line and shape, developing their artistic skills and creative confidence.
Staff from both schools are thanking for their invaluable support in making the workshop a success, which is one example of how schools within the Trust benefit by working together.
