Falkland Primary School celebrates ‘absolutely wonderful’ summer fete in Newbury




A Newbury school held its summer fete for pupils, parents and other supporters at the weekend.

Children at Falkland Primary School, in Andover Road, flocked to the school’s summer fete on Saturday (July 6).

Despite a wet start, visitors made the most of the day featuring snacks and treats, various stalls and games, plus raffle hampers.

And younger visitors could also pet a pony — and a T-Rex.

“The weather hit us hard, but we did what we do best and pulled together after months of work and planning,” said a spokesperson for the Falkland School Association.

“Thank you all so much for all your hard work and precious time to make [Saturday] a huge success for our school.”

Attendees also praised the school’s efforts online.

“You did an amazing job. Thank you so much,” said one visitor.

“It was such a lovely day. Thank you all,” added another.
