Scouts enjoy a magical experience with Lawson Circus
The Second Thatcham Scouts have enjoyed magic, candy floss and whimsy at the circus.
The group of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and their families took a trip to Thatcham Memorial Field to see Lawson Circus.
And they were lucky enough to take over 70 per cent of the seats and enjoy an experience to remember.
For ten particularly lucky Scouts, there was an opportunity to take their promise inside the circus ring.
With the help of the circus team – especially Bippo the clown and the ring master – the Scouts received an up close experience of the magic.
Assistant leader to Beavers and Cubs James Clark said: “From queuing for the early evening show in lovely evening sun, the beavers and cubs were all a chatter about what to expect, from entering the big top and taking their seats.
“We were also well and truly entertained during the break by Bippo the clown and his special taste for song lyrics, which left the Scouts and leader in deep laughter.
“For the final act we were entertained by a dazzling laser show to music, which left the Scouts, Cubs and Beavers all in a wild chatter of how amazing it was.”
He said the excited chatter still carried on the following day.
