Screaming teen thwarts attempted Cold Ash burglary

At about 12.40pm on Friday, July 19, a man knocked on the door of a house in Long Lane, Cold Ash.
A teenage girl, who was inside, did not answer the door.
The man then knocked on the windows before going round to the back door.
He put on gloves and tried the door handle before returning to the front door, kicking it open and going into the house.
The girl screamed and the offender ran off empty-handed.
He is described as white, aged between 40 and 45-years-old, about 5ft 10ins, of medium build with a bit of a paunch.
He had short blond spiky hair and was wearing a blue top with horizontal stripes, dark knee-length shorts and black sunglasses.
He may have been wearing training shoes.
