Road re-opens after incident
A seat-belt helped to save the life of a woman found suspended upside down in an overturned car on a Sulhamstead road yesterday (Thursday) evening.
Two fire engines, from Tilehurst and Whitley Wood, Reading , were called at 8.20pm, to White Hill, where a car was discovered on its roof.
Firefighters discovered the woman driver suspended upside down, contained by a seat belt, before prising open a door, in order to remove her from the vehicle.
The car was then stabilised on its wheels, before firefighters left the scene at around 10.30pm.
The road was closed during the incident.
