Second A34 incident causes traffic problems for motorists
Earlier this morning, a broken down petrol tanker caused one lane to be closed for almost an hour and a half and now an accident involving two lorries is causing further problems.
The A34 is partially blocked and traffic is queueing northbound between the M4 junction 13 (Chieveley) and East Ilsley, because of the accident which happened at about 10.20am.
No one was injured in the accident but lane one has been closed to allow recovery of the vehicles.
There are currently delays of 10 minutes and normal conditions are expected by 12.15pm.
According to East Ilsley residents, commenting on social networking site, Facebook, standing traffic has stretched back to Chieveley.
THERE are currently delays in and around Newbury because of a broken down petrol tanker.
One lane is blocked and traffic is queueing on the A34 northbound between the East Ilsley and West Ilsley turn off, because of the broken down petrol tanker.
Congestion is currently queueing on the A4 to the Robin Hood Roundabout.
At 11am - the incident is now clear.
