Second children's book for Hungerford author

Former head of English at Park House School publishes Max and the Tiger

It was in 2006 that Anita Campbell discovered a love of writing children's stories and the former head of English, who lives in Hungerford, was naturally delighted when her first book The Story of Little Brown Bear enjoyed a good response.

Encouraged by this, she has now published a second picture book, Max and The Tiger (Campbell Books £6.99). Illustrated by Adrian Robinson, it is the story of a small boy who is not fazed by finding that a tiger lives in the woods near his holiday home.

Although writing for children is her first love, the last two years have seen Mrs Campbell branching out into writing for adults. Two of her first five short stories will be appearing in an anthology this year and although there is nothing planned at the moment, she doesn't rule out writing a novel one day and I wouldn't be surprised if she did just that.
